Stephen Phillip took the lead followed by Ryan Ellis and Fergus Barlow, on lap two an accident at the hairpin led to the race being Red Flagged. Thankfully apart from some cracked ribs and feeling generally stiff, Neville Parrot should be OK. His helmet in particular took a beating that his head did not.

Due to this accident the Junior “A” final was rescheduled to run after the senior blue race.
A shortened “A” final of 14 laps restarted with Stephen Phillip leading Fergus Barlow into the first corner Ryan Ellis was a close third.  Fergus Barlow’s engine seemed to go flat here allowing Stephen Phillip to pull out a large lead, by the third lap Ryan Ellis had passed Barlow and two laps later Greg Turner took third.
Blair Campbell meantime was progressing through the grid at a tremendous rate.
With 5 laps to go Stephen Phillip and Ryan Ellis looked to have it sewn up but Blair Campbell came through to second posting a fastest Junior lap at 38.86secs
